Colleen Cox, CCDM

Ms. Cox has 18 years of experience in the data management area.  She heads the data management unit at PROMETRIKA, which is responsible for case report form development, clinical data management, clinical data processing, medication and adverse event coding, and integration of electronic data.

Ms. Cox has held a variety of positions in data management in pharmaceutical and device companies as well as CROs.  Her experience includes the development, validation, installation and maintenance of clinical data management systems; and oversight of data management departments and personnel.

Ms. Cox’s most recently held position was Associate Manager, Training at Averion, Inc., where she developed and conducted cross-training in data management tasks for personnel and clients outside of the department.  Her responsibilities also included providing one-on-one training to Clinical Data Management staff as needed, coordinating training program with other functional departments, and performing general clinical data management support as needed, including: reviewing data; assisting in database design and testing; designing CRFs and guidelines; designing and testing logic checks; querying investigators for missing or discrepant data; utilizing tools/systems to code medical terms and medications; interfacing with Clinical Monitoring, Medical Affairs, Database Development, Biometrics and Project Management.

Ms. Cox currently serves as the Secretary of the Board of Trustees for the Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM) and is also a member of SCDM’s Good Clinical Data Management Practices Committee.  She has chaired and conducted numerous presentations at SCDM and other data management conferences.
