POSITION TITLE:
Senior Statistical/SAS Programmer
JOB DUTIES:
- Develop SAS programs to produce analysis data sets, statistical tables, graphical representations, and data listings for individual study reports in accordance with statistical analysis plans
- Create tables in Word format using Proc Report and ODS RTF
- Develop SAS programs to produce integrated analyses and tables for the summary sections of New Drug Applications (NDAs)
- Design and implement quality control measures to ensure the quality and integrity of the statistical programs
- Assist senior/managerial level biostatisticians in writing sections of the study reports which address the programming conventions used
- Write, execute and test PL SQL and/or SAS edit check programs to check the data for syntax errors, logical inconsistencies, and protocol violations
- Generate data listings to facilitate data review performed by the clinical data managers
REQUISITE SKILLS, BACKGROUND,
AND EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in programming, mathematics, statistics, or related field
- Minimum of three years experience using SAS in analyses of clinical trial data; knowledge of other programming languages and database management software packages is a plus
- Detail-oriented and able to work effectively with limited supervision
