At PROMETRIKA, giving back to the community is our creed.
SUPPORTING THOSE IN NEED
PROMETRIKA is active in our local community in many different ways. As volunteers, we prepare and distribute meals at soup kitchens in Cambridge and Boston, and package food at local distribution centers. As donors, we contribute to homeless shelters in Boston, food banks around the country, and support animal shelters and rescue programs.
MEALS PROGRAMS
COMMUNITY SERVINGS
In December 2019, PROMETRIKA volunteered with Community Servings, a local nonprofit organization that prepares and delivers nutritionally tailored meals to thousands of critically and chronically ill people across Massachusetts every year. Catering to clients living with illnesses such as HIV/AIDS, kidney disease, cancer, diabetes, and heart disease, Community Servings relies on volunteers to help prepare and package 2,500 scratch-made meals every day. Inspired by this organization’s mission, we sent a group of nine employees to volunteer at their Food Campus in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. Our volunteers spent their shift chopping, peeling, and processing produce in Community Servings’ commercial kitchen. We helped seal meals, label meals by diets, and portion soup, salad, and snack servings. PROMETRIKA greatly valued this opportunity to give back to the Boston and Greater Boston communities, and we look forward to working with Community Servings in the future.
FOOD FOR FREE
PROMETRIKA volunteers with Food for Free, a Cambridge-based, non-profit organization, in a facility built in the Biogen headquarters for the sole use of the non-profit’s Family Meals Program. Food For Free Meals program repurposes prepared foods that would otherwise be discarded into single-serving meals. These fully-cooked meals are then frozen and delivered to families sheltered in hotels or underprivileged families who do not have access to kitchen or are unable to cook for themselves. The program has been temporarily suspended due to COVID-19. PROMETRIKA will resume its volunteer activities with Food for Free when the program resumes.
LIFE SCIENCE CARES
In April PROMETRIKA began fundraising for the Life Science Cares COVID-19 Response Fund. We were drawn to this fund and its mission to aid the homeless, those living in poverty, and students in our community during this global pandemic. By the end of May, PROMETRIKA donated $3,402.45 to this inspiring cause. This donation will go towards supporting organizations in the greater Boston area which distribute food to students missing free school lunches, ensure learning continuity for students, help financially strained families, and provide medical care to the homeless.

SUPPORTING SHELTERS
Through monetary donations, PROMETRIKA supports the following three main homeless shelters in Boston: Pine Street Inn, Boston Rescue Mission, and Rosie’s Place
As a company with a large number of animal owners, we care a lot about the well-being of animals. Through monetary donations, PROMETRIKA supports the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and the Animal Rescue League of Boston.
To help communities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, PROMETRIKA has donated to twelve Feeding America nationwide network of food banks. These food banks are located in the cities/states that our employees work or reside.

SUPPORTING DIFFERENT CAUSES
Cause sponsorship by employees is highly encouraged at PROMETRIKA. Each year employees sponsor different causes and fundraise for them within the company and outside. PROMETRIKA matches the amounts raised by 100%. The most recent contributions include:
